Highly recommended! Very French; the menu, the decor and ambience, the staff. We had a lovely dinner, also extremely good value. TIP: if you are able to book online in advance, you can skip the queue for a table, which is sometimes long, but moves quickly. Also, that way, you get a QR code to pay at your table when you are ready, which provides for a quick getaway if you have a train to catch. Otherwise, as other reviewers have commented, you pay at the till, where there may be a queue.
Great quick food, just what we were looking before before heading to bed. Drinks and food were great! Will definitely be back. Great atmosphere and servers all incredibly friendly and helpful.
Amazing servis , great food , great atmosphere , staff was friendly and very accommodating and Muriella was so lovely !
Fantastic food service, and atmosphere. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Bordeaux. Locals are eating here past 10 PM on Sunday.
Very close to the train station with quick seating and fast service. Food was middle of the road for our three weeks of nightly French dining. My Beef bourguignon was a little stringy but satisfying. The Caesar salad was tasty but unlike any I've had before. Mustard? Make of it what you will. The Tiramisu dessert was right on target. Overall the restaurant is the rarest of things French Culinary: affordable.
I’ve tried different confit de canard but this one by far is the best. The escargot was also good! Le boullion saint jean was a 10/10. we owe the experience to the bartender who recommended the restaurant
Perfect for a quick snack while waiting on your train. Steps from Gare St Jean. Prices very reasonable for good quality food, albeit we only had a small sampling.
Today the bouillon was a refreshing oasis for the tired pilgrim. Air co-d inner room, pretty decoration, waiters smiling. Quality-price unbeatable for sit down meals in Bordeaux. Highly recommended!
